After installing Sametime Connect 7.5 on my work desktop I had been wondering why I received new chat messages within the integrates Lotus Notes instant messaging window rather than the ‘flash’ new Sametime Connect client. On the other hand, once I had initiated a new chat session from Sametime Connect, responses has been shown in there.
Obviously there is some logic behind this behavior. According to IBM’s Technote 1244945 Sametime server prior to version 7.5 instant messages are delivered to the oldest client ID and Sametime Connect 7.5 has definitely the most recent one. This issue will be addressed in further Sametime server version and starting with release 7.5 on the server side this issue won’t be a topic any more.
